Our 2021 Movement for Good Awards

The application window is now closed for this year’s awards. Thank you to everyone who submitted an application. The winners will start to be announced in October 2021.
Charitable giving is at the heart of what we do – and has been for over 130 years. Now more than ever we are proud to be one of the largest corporate donors to charity in the UK1, contributing to thousands of good causes in this country and abroad.
We are delighted to be running our Movement for Goods awards for the third successive year – giving back to the communities we serve and championing the issues that really matter to them and giving a further £1million to charities.
Our £1m giving programme has two funding phases:
  • Phase 1 now complete – 500 charities have received £1,000.
We have already awarded £500,000 to 500 charities in £1,000 grants. We know what a difference £1,000 will make to all of the winning charities – you can read how some will be using the funds here, so a big thank you to everyone who participated.
  • Phase 2 – We are awarding 30 charities a share of £500,000. Grants of £10,000, £50,000 and £100,000 to be awarded. The application window has now closed.
We understand the importance of longer-term funding for charities, especially when trying to bring ambitious new ideas to life. That’s why we are awarding 30 charities with a £10,000 grant.
We are also aware of how difficult it can be to get larger transformative projects off the ground, so we are extremely pleased to announce that two of the lucky winners will receive an additional £50,000 grant and one will receive an additional £100,000 grant.
Through our second phase of giving, we are actively championing innovation, giving charities the backing they need to propel their plans forward and turn creative ideas into practical solutions that benefit society.
